Together Baton Rouge consists of several different action teams organizing around specific issues impacting families in East Baton Rouge city-parish. The issues that make up our current agenda are identified through the network of relationships, both institutional and interpersonal, that make up Together Baton Rouge. Working through their respective member institutions, TBR leaders meet one-on-one and in small group, "house" meetings to share stories about the pressures impacting their families and communities. The stories shared at these meetings in-turn become the focus areas that leaders work together to address.
The three, currently active TBR action teams are focusing on: Healthy Equity, Criminal Justice, and the "Save Our Water" campaign, a Louisiana Environmental Action Network initiative to preserve access to clean drinking water for all EBRP residents.
This page houses updates on the current work being done by each of these groups. While these summaries provide a brief overview of what's going on with each of our action teams, we further encourage leaders to check in with the listed co-chairs for more detailed updates and information on how to get involved.
